Borderless CS is recruiting talented IT Security Engineers to join one of our clients in Melbourne. This exciting opportunity will have you working as part of a dynamic and diverse team committed to delivering quality outcomes within the organisation.

As an IT Security Engineer, you will provide expert support on information security, cyber security, and risk responsibilities to the client’s IT operations. You will also do risk reduction/clean-up activities, conduct risk assessments, implement security policies, and support to ensure the security of clients’ assets and business operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for safeguarding the organisation’s critical assets, data, and systems from cyber threats.
  • Maintaining and enhancing comprehensive security practices that align with business objectives and compliance requirements.
  • Conduct security and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Implement security policies covering various aspects, including Business Strategy, Risk Management, Governance, IT, Disaster Recovery, and Business Continuity.
  • Advise clients on best practices for protecting their assets and operations from security threats.
  • Monitor and analyse security trends and inform clients of potential threats and emerging risks.
  • Do the IT risk remediation and clean-up activities.
  • Educate internal staff on information and IT security-related matters.

Experience

  • Four years of experience in an IT Security Engineer role (On-Prem and Cloud platform security).
  • Experience in Cybersecurity risk remediation and incident response management.
  • Strong knowledge of Technology Risk and Information Security frameworks and standards.

Contract: The initial contract is for six months with the possibility of extension for the right candidate.

Due to working with government clients requires you to be an Australian citizen or PR and undergo a police check.
