Borderless CS is recruiting talented IT Security Engineers to join one of our clients in Melbourne. This exciting opportunity will have you working as part of a dynamic and diverse team committed to delivering quality outcomes within the organisation.

This Contractor role will last for an initial six months and possibly an extension for the right candidate.

Role Overview

The IT System Administrator will ensure the smooth IT Operation of our client’s IT systems, Microsoft 365, and Network infrastructure. The successful candidate will possess strong technical expertise in Microsoft 365, Azure, and Windows servers, basic networking, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day IT system admin support for IT Operations, troubleshoot the IT issues and resolve technical problems in a timely manner. 
  • Collaborate with third-party IT vendors for IT support outsourcing, ensuring seamless coordination and escalation of issues as needed. 
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls within Microsoft 365, Azure, and On-Prem environments. 
  • Monitor system performance and security, implementing necessary updates, patches, and configurations to maintain optimal functionality. 
  • Work closely with other departments to understand their IT requirements and provide tailored solutions to meet their needs. 
  • Document IT processes, procedures, and troubleshooting guides for internal reference and knowledge sharing. 
  • Participate in IT projects and initiatives, contributing technical expertise and insights to drive successful outcomes. 
  • Exhibit strong knowledge of server management (Windows and Linux), network administration, and IT security with Microsoft 365 and Azure platforms. 

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an IT System Administrator or in a similar role, preferably in a corporate environment. 
  • Strong technical proficiency in IT Infrastructure, Microsoft 365, Windows servers, and Basic Networking.
  • Familiarity with Azure cloud computing platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders. 
  • Solid understanding of IT security best practices and protocols, with experience implementing and maintaining security measures. 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment, prioritising tasks and managing workload effectively. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex IT issues and implement effective solutions. 
  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate and Windows server administration certification would be advantageous.

Contract: The initial contract is for six months with the possibility of extension for the right candidate.
